Why don't people change?

People don't change because they are hardwired to remain the same.  We love status quo especially when it is comfortable.  And, when status quo is not comfortable, we relish in our ability to whine, complain and otherwise take zero action.  We make every excuse in the book and have become most awesome at a new terminology called, "yeabutter."  Yeabutter means, "Yea, but..." and is the single most useless mental map that humans have ever created.  We don't change because we are the architect of "yeabutter", which consistently ensures we stay on a track that is meaningless, inescapable and purely built on notions of robotic happenstance.
